Comprehensive pension rights
Pension fund contributions amount to 15.5% of salary: 4% paid by you and 11.5% paid by your employer. The contribution is paid into the mutual insurance fund, which provides entitlement to pension payments.
These payments are:
- Retirement pension: Paid monthly for life. The amount of the pension depends on how much is paid into the fund over your lifetime and when pension payments begin. The general retirement age is 67, but retirement pension payments may begin anytime between the ages of 60 and 80.
- Disability pension: Paid monthly if you lose earning capacity due to illness or accident. Disability pension is paid until you regain work capacity or begin drawing retirement pension.
- Spouse’s pension: Paid to a surviving spouse if you pass away. Paid monthly in accordance with the fund’s rules.
- Children’s pension: Paid monthly in accordance with the fund’s rules to support children up to the age of 22 if you pass away or receive disability pension payments.
