The Jafnvægisvogin Recognition is awarded to companies and institutions that meet the project’s goal of a 40/60 gender balance among managers. The initiative is led by the Association of Women in Business (FKA) and aims to increase gender balance at the highest levels of management in the business sector.
This year, 128 companies, institutions, and municipalities received the recognition. During the ceremony, statistics were presented on the proportion of women in boards and management positions in Icelandic companies and institutions, clearly showing that there is still a long way to go to achieve full gender equality in the Icelandic labor market.
We at LSR are very proud to have received the Jafnvægisvogin Recognition, now for the sixth time. The fund places strong emphasis on equality in its operations, has adopted an equal pay policy, and operates in accordance with its gender equality plan. LSR has also been equal pay certified since 2021.
