For the fifth year in a row, the Icelandic pension system has received top marks in an international analysis covering 52 countries. The Icelandic system earned the second-highest score of all the nations included in the study.

LSR among those financing the construction of the Ölfusá Bridge

LSR is one of four parties that have signed an agreement with ÞG Verk to provide project financing for the construction of the new Ölfusá Bridge. The other participants in the project are Íslandsbanki, Birta Pension Fund, and the Pension Fund of Commerce.

Only fixed-rate loans processed

17. October 2025

Due to a Supreme Court ruling in case no. 55/2024, LSR will for the time being only accept applications for loans with fixed interest rates for the entire loan period. However, LSR will complete the processing of all loan applications that are already being handled by the fund.

LSR receives the Jafnvægisvogin Recognition

LSR has received the Jafnvægisvogin Recognition for 2025, which was presented at a formal ceremony at the University of Iceland on October 9. This marks the sixth time that LSR has received the recognition.

Evrotrust now available as a log in option

LSR fund members can now use Evrotrust to log in to My Pages, which is a useful alternative especially for those who do not hold a valid Icelandic passport.

Statement and Newsletter delivered to Fund Members

In the coming days, members of Division A and the LSR Private Pension will receive their statements for the first six months of the year. The statements will be accompanied by LSR’s newsletter along with information about the fund’s performance last year.
